Sunday School
Starting in August of 2008 all of the children's Sunday School Classes will be graded according to School grade instead of age graded.
We hope this will allow the children who are in same grade at School to remain likewise at church.
There are several adult classes to choose from:
Senior Men

Church Ministries
Children's Church
Diane Lewis - Director
This is a ministry for those children who are too old to be in the nursery.
They have their own worship service with a program that is designed for their age group.
This program is supervised by Adult Volunteers within the church
Nursery
Kristi Pinson - Director
We provide a nursery for newborn all the way through toddlers.
When the new building comes on line, each group will have their own little room.
The babies will have their own space as will the toddlers.
We have on hand at any given time 4-5 RN's who can handle any emergency should one arise.
Club "J"
This program was the brain child of Jerry & Sheila Eidson
This is a ministry for those children that Sheila has lovingly labeled
"bulletin artists".
Truthfully, it is a ministry for those children too old to remain in children's church but not old enough to be a part of the Youth Ministry.
This program is conducted by our older youth and is always "Adult Supervised"
This also provides the adults an opportunity to enjoy the worship services knowing that their children are being taught a Bible lesson that will speak to the age group.
Son-Shiners
Craig & Kathy McDaniel - Directors
This is our Senior Saints Ministry.
We try very hard to have a meeting at least once a month with a guest speaker to come in an encourage a some times forgotten group within the church.
One thing we know for certain - this group loves to be on the move and Craig & Kathy are so gracious to give of their time to take our Senior's on trips to the Mountains and pretty much any where they want to go.
This is for those adults who will "admit" they have now passed the age of 50.
Music
Rev. Norman Keesee - Director
Our Music Ministry is designed to challenge all age groups to give of their time and talent to glorify the Lord through song.
Norman is the Director of all music programs within the church; however, he is willing to take any help he can get.
From children's choir all the way through to the adult choir, this can be a difficult yet rewarding challenge.
We have one simple requirement to be in the choir at Emerald: If you can breath, you can sing in the choir.
Youth
Jerry & Sheila Eidson - Directors
When Jerry was brought on board to lead our youth program we were so blessed to get two for the price of one.
Jerry will be the first to admit that Sheila is a valuable asset to the Youth Ministry at our church.
She has the ability and the calling to deal with young girls who may be facing issues that they may not be comfortable talking to Jerry about and Jerry handles the issues with the boys.
Right now, the Youth are just getting started back with the Campground Ministry at Lake Greenwood State Park.
On Sunday Mornings at 9am, our Youth go the State Park to lead the Worship services for the Campers who frequent Lake Greenwood - especially during the summer months.
